Creating Change in the Food System report

In their recent report, Creating Change in the Food System: The role of regional food networks in Iowa, Rich Pirog of Michigan State University’s Center for Regional Food Systems and Corry Bregendahl of the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture at Iowa State University share how regionally coordinated food networks can build and foster durable local and regional food commerce.

As local and regional initiatives continue to develop across Virginia, food system working groups and local councils such as the Virginia Food System Council, the Shenandoah Valley Food and Farm Network, Virginia Buy Fresh Buy Local chapters offer a framework for coordination and change to improve local and regional food and farm economies.
