Dollars and Sense of Food Hubs as a Community Initiative

Sales of local and regional foods continue to grow across Virginia and the U.S. As sales have increased, the establishment of food hubs as a way to aggregate, process and distribute local and regionally identified foods has also grown.

Robin Morris, Executive Director of Mad River Food Hub in Waitsfield, Vermont, shared his experience and expertise on the ‘Dollars and Sense of Food Hubs as a Community Initiative’ at the 2015 Virginia Farm to Table Conference at Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave.
